MAKE, in Fratton is a jewel in Portsmouth cities crown – an innovative and inspiring place that has projects supporting adults with learning disabilities and / or autism to develop skills within a variety of areas to enable people to lead independent lives and gain employment within the community. Within this hub everyone’s talents are showcased and opportunities are sought to share experience within the wider cities communities which builds understanding and cohesion.

Sarah Co-Director with Cameron Locke for Portsmouth Creates and she is also Co-Chair with Cam for youth group charity Dynamite – a group of young people who all have a disability. The group works together to be a voice for all the young people in Portsmouth and now also Co-Director with Cam for Portsmouth Creates.

Sarah says…

“I love the quote “The role of a leader is not to come up with all the great ideas. The role of a leader is to create an environment in which great ideas can happen” and that’s what Portsmouth Creates is also all about, so I’m thrilled to be a part of these exciting times and this lovely team.”
