Steve is Founder and Director of articulo (articulo.org.uk) a brand-new consultancy that supports charities, businesses and other organisations to work, grow and innovate together.
Steve started his career in the IBM UK Ltd graduate trainee programme, then moved into the charitable sector, initially with Hampshire based education charity Learning through Landscapes, before moving on to the Football Foundation, the UK’s biggest sports charity. Here, Steve led the development, design and delivery of a £7.5m sport for social change grant investment strategy and programme.
Prior to launching articulo earlier in 2022, Steve worked for nine years at a senior level within the Solent Local Enterprise Partnership, focusing on delivering significant economic growth in the Solent region in partnership with local businesses, universities and charities.
Steve says “I am delighted to have been appointed a Director of Portsmouth Creates as I have always been deeply impressed with the energy, enthusiasm and sense of community within the city. Portsmouth Creates has already done a fantastic job of harnessing these raw materials to deliver a broad range of accessible and engaging cultural experiences, and I am looking forward to helping them build on this strong start. In previous roles, I have worked with the likes of the Arvon Foundation, the National Literacy Trust, the Arts Award and the National Science and Media Museum to deliver innovative programmes of cultural activity, and been lucky enough to see first-hand the positive and profound impact such activity can have on local communities.”
