Jane Hodgkins
Jane Hodgkins is Project Officer at Portsmouth Creates, bringing more than 30 years’ experience in marketing, communications, audience development and cultural tourism. Throughout her career, she has worked across the arts, culture, heritage and tourism sectors, developing strategic partnerships, creative campaigns and collaborative projects that connect people with places, stories and cultural experiences.
Drawing on her experience, including as Head of Marketing, PR and Communications at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard and the Royal Navy Museums, Jane is passionate about helping people and organisations grow through meaningful connections across the creative, cultural and heritage sectors. Her work is guided by the values of competence, authenticity and choice, which shape every relationship she builds and every project she supports.
At Portsmouth Creates, Jane collaborates with artists, creative businesses, partners and communities to strengthen networks, champion creativity and deliver opportunities that contribute to a vibrant, inclusive cultural city. She is particularly motivated by initiatives that celebrate Portsmouth’s unique identity and create lasting social, cultural and economic impact.
Outside work, Jane enjoys spending time with her family and is a strong advocate for purpose-led businesses that strengthen the cultural and heritage economy.
