Matthew Ponsford FCIPD is a senior workforce strategy and organisational development leader with extensive experience helping organisations strengthen performance, develop people and build sustainable growth. Currently serving as Head of Workforce Strategy, Reward & Governance at FitzRoy, a national social care charity, Matthew leads initiatives focused on workforce planning, leadership development, organisational capability, governance and organisational resilience.
With a career spanning human resources, learning and development, talent management and organisational transformation, Matthew has led major programmes in succession planning, reward, employee engagement, leadership development and workforce analytics.
Alongside his professional work, Matthew is passionate about collaboration, creativity and community impact. He believes that strong organisations are built through meaningful connections, diverse perspectives and empowering people to reach their potential. Through his involvement with Portsmouth Creates, he is keen to support initiatives that bring together individuals, communities and organisations to create positive social, cultural and economic impact across the city and beyond.
